- Candidates who have been cleared in their Main examination for CRP SPL-VIII will subsequently be called for an interview to be conducted by the participating organization and coordinated by the nodal banks in each state/UT with the help of IBPS.
- Interviews will be conducted at select centers.
- The centre, address of the venue, time & date of interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.
- Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorized IBPS website www.ibps.in.
Final selection for interview:
- The ratio of online main examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
- 60 marks of the main examination will be converted to 80 marks and interview marks will be 20 total marks will be 100 marks and candidates need to maintain almost 40-50 marks out of 100 for the final selection.
- A candidate should qualify both in the online main examination and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on authorized IBPS website.
- While appearing for the interview, the candidate should produce valid prescribed documents given below in the link List of documents to be produced at the time of interview.
What is an interview??
- An interview is a test of the personality of a candidate as in a bank, an interview is totally related to how you show up yourself before the interview panel.
- In the word "Interview" split into 'inter' & 'view' this will give the meaning of 'between view' refers to a one-on-one conversation between an interviewer and an interviewee.
- The interviewer is one who asks questions and the interviewee is one who responds to those questions.
What is the purpose of an interview??
- The purpose of an interview is to bring out your inner qualities and traits. It provides the employer to know about you and your knowledge on a wide variety of subjects.
To be successful in an interview you must know these things...
Appearance:
- A good appearance will give you confidence. So your dress code will simple and dignified.
Speech and mannerisms:
- The usage of words and sentences should be precise and audible so that the other person is able to follow you properly.
- Everybody knows what to speak, but a few people know how to speak.
- So speak carefully how you speak is decide your mannerisms too.
Mental alertness:
- It means how you able to understand the questions in a short period of time.
- The interviewers will check your mental strength by asking confusing questions.
- So, everyone be alert.
Leadership qualities:
- During the interview, your leadership qualities also tested through entrusting multitasking works.
- To check how you lead your company if you are recruited.
Self-confidence:
- Never underestimate yourself and compare to others.
- Everybody has his own specialty. So be confident always.
Planning:
- Planning reduces tension and completes half of your work.
- It is your responsibility to plan what requirements you need to attend the interview.
Preparation:
- After a proper plan, you have to prepare for that.
- Planning and preparation will give you more confidence.
Presentation:
- A good presentation is like a multi-cuisine feast.
- So present yourself well during an interview.
Do's and Dont's before entering into your interview panel:
*These are all some of the important points to be noted before entering into your interview panel.
Do's:
- Sir... please may I come in? When the interviewer says YES
- Say Thank You after permission
- Softly close the door and Wish the Panel members with gentle standing posture.
- Remember time carefully and wish accordingly Good morning/Good afternoon/Good evening.
- If there is any female member in the Panel, then wish her first. say Good morning mam and sirs.
- Wait till panel members ask/permit you to sit and say thanks before sitting.
- Sit in a straight posture with hands in your lap/thigh.
- Make your eye contact with every panel member.
- Your voice must be clear/ audible/ humble and polite.
- Give answers confidently.
- Be positive, honest and be yourself.
- Always say thank you, sir, when panel informs/ corrects you anywhere.
- When you unable to answer any question say - Sorry sir I don't know (or) Sir I heard about it but I am unable to recall at this moment, sorry sir.
- When board members say thanks your interview is over- Then say thank you, sir.
Dont's:
- Don't make excuses. Take responsibility for your decisions and your actions.
- Do not make negative comments about your previous employer.
- Do not treat the interview casually, practice more (Mocks).
- Do not give impression that you are interested in a particular location only and do not talk about salary and perks until the interviewer asks/ enquire for.
- Don't assume that female interviewer is Mrs or Miss Address her as MAM unless told otherwise.
- Don't eat anything if offered to you by interviewers just say Thank You, sir.
- Don't chew anything during the interview.
- Put switch off your mobile or on silent mode.
- Avoid hand movement.
- Avoid looking up and down and avoid hiding eyes with the panel members as it shows lack of confidence.
- Don't sit until the interviewers ask to do so.
- Never put your file or hand on the table.
